About VBN
VBN and PURE
VBN is based on the research registration system PURE that is used in most Danish universities, as well as hospitals and in the pharmaceutical industry. The PURE system makes it possible to work with decentralised collection and validation of bibliographic metadata and full text documents. Also, the system handles central storage, advanced reporting and statistical calculations as well as online publication.
Aalborg University is part of a national forum for PURE collaboration between Danish universities that works towards establishing a consistent national practice for research registration. One of the goals is to enable benchmarking across universities.
PURE is developed by the Danish IT company Atira A/S which is situated in Aalborg.
