Press Clippings

Press clippings are brief and clear summaries from selected parts of the media (newspapers, radio, television, Internet) about researchers and research environments at Aalborg University. The press clippings in VBN are registered in two ways:

Automatic registration

Press clippings are delivered by the media agency Infopaq. The selection criterion of the media watch is that Aalborg University is mentioned in the article, broadcast or announcement.

Manual registration

Press clippings that are not delivered by Infopaq can be registered manually in VBN by a reporting officer. You can read more about the registration of press clippings below.

From the media to VBN

VBN's press clippings supplier, Infopaq, monitors a vast number of newspapers, journals and TV stations and writes a brief summary (a press clipping) if the university, a research environment or one of the university's researchers are mentioned.

The VBN Editorial Office receives the press clippings as XML and uploads them into the system.

The VBN editors read the press clippings and add them to the persons and research environments mentioned in the press clippings. Afterwards the individual researcher or research environment can search his/her press clippings in VBN.

On the Media List you will find an overview of newspapers and news channels covered by VBN via Infopaq. You can also view the top 25 of most quoted AAU employees in the media.

If you come across press clippings that have not been registered although they are on the Media List, please contact the VBN Editorial Office.

Manual registration of press clippings

In the event that you have unregistered press clippings from medias other than those on the Media List, your local reporting officer can help you upload the press cuttings in VBN.

Please contact the VBN Editorial Office if you have questions or are in need of support.
